Notice to Calais Water Department Customers : Spring Hydrant Flushing

The City of Calais Water Department would like to remind everyone that we will be starting our spring hydrant flushing in April and continuing into May. Flushing will occur between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. During this period, expect occasional yellow water which is due to the presence of iron settlement. Customers are urged to check their water before bathing or doing laundry during this time.
