As you know, the North Street Utilities project has recently started with Sargent Corporation. This project involves both sewer and water mainline and service installations.   The crews are currently working between Union Street and Walnut Street heading North where they are installing main line sewer. 

Starting the week of 04-28-25, Sargent will be setting up signage to implement the planned project detour that was approved by the MaineDOT. 

The purpose of the detour is to move traffic more efficiently and prevent long backups along the roadway, as well as to keep the traveling public and crews safe during this construction project.  This detour will start at Lincoln Street and will direct north-bound traffic up North Street and all south-bound traffic down South Street.   

During this project there will be times when there are several crews working in order to complete this project by the deadline.
