As you know, the North Street Utilities project in progress with Sargent Corporation. This project involves both sewer and water mainline and service installations.   The crews are still working between Union Street and just past Walnut Street heading North where they are installing main line sewer. Sargent will be continuing sewer service connections in the area where main line sewer was already installed. In addition, another crew will be working between Lincoln and Chandler, where they will be installing main line sewer. 

Sargent will also be starting the layout and fusing of temporary water piping. Crews will coordinate this with each property owner, as necessary, as they connect this work. 

There is still a project detour in place that was approved by the MaineDOT. 

The purpose of the detour is to move traffic more efficiently and prevent long backups along the roadway, as well as to keep the traveling public and crews safe during this construction project.  This detour will start at Lincoln Street and will direct north-bound traffic up North Street and all south-bound traffic down South Street.   

During this project there will be times when there are several crews working in order to complete this project by the deadline.
