Public Works: Parks and Cemetery 

The City of Calais Public Works Department is now accepting applications for employment in the Parks and Cemetery Department. Applications are available at the Calais City Building on Church Street or at the Public Works Department on North Street. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled. Full-Time Police Officer

The City of Calais is accepting resumes/applications for a full-time Police Officer. Requirements: Candidates must hold a valid Maine driver’s license, be at least 21 years of age, and hold a high school diploma, or GED equivalent. Candidates who have made the final selection may be required to successfully complete the physical agility test (MCJA Standard) and must pass a thorough background investigation, which includes a polygraph, psychological, and financial examination. (2) Full-Time Paramedics and Part- Time and On Call Firefighter-EMT’s 

Calais Fire-EMS is seeking (2) full-time paramedics. Experience and training as a firefighter would be beneficial. Calais Fire-EMS offers a competitive wage.

Calais Fire-EMS is also looking for “on call” Firefighter-EMT’s. We offer free training for the job. We have all the proper equipment to make the job as safe as possible. If you have the desire to help your neighbor, this is the job for you.
